When we look back at time we think a lot has changed, yet our patterns have always been there.
As we look back at our story, which we initially think is for everyone else to see, maybe we realize that it’s a fabulous reference for your past and future self.
Which version of yourself does your first Instagram post Reveal?
Follower:
Let’s dive into this one. Often times trends are heard of overtime. Word-of-mouth spreads quite quickly. Some of us join in because we either want to be liked or we want to see what everyone else is doing. The result of this often ends up with us feeling like we are not good enough, and not knowing how to see or admit it. This tends to hold us back.
Lets take a look at just a few of the personalities we expose via Social Media:
Leader:
This behavior showcases being creative in many forms, including photography and your natural eye for bringing things to life. Seeing growth and change in your work, play, and aspirations are clear and present. Many true and vulnerable moments show a sign of confidence and contagious motivating quality.
Encouraging:
There is a pure intention here. Our message is extremely positive, often painting a forward thinking and idealistic picture. Enlightening the best practices of human behavior. This can lead to all sorts of opportunities taken. Maybe by ourselves and sometimes enlightening the people following us. We focus on the willingness to trying new things without the need or desire to be perfect. Seeking experience and balance.
Undefined:
This is one of my favorites because this behavior is one of the most genuine in nature, not necessarily with intent. Exposing an extreme variety of different subjects, belief systems, and indecisive attractions. This is not necessarily a negative thing. I believe that social media in this form can also be a positive way to release your fears. The person that shows this behavior and social media has the most potential for growth and if we are going to spend so much time invested in virtual reality’s at least we can release some of that energy that may other wise be wasted else where.
So what’s the point?
I feel that one of the most special gifts of being human is to ask the question “why?”. At it’s deepest level, I feel that asking the question and not receiving the answer is the true gift.
I’d like to hear your thoughts. Do you see or expose other personalities?
